The Chief Executive Financial Officer, or CEFO, is the leader of all financial activities within a business. As the head of financial operations, they are responsible for overseeing the budget, managing investments, and setting goals to increase profitability and achieve long-term financial stability. More specifically, they create strategies to reduce risks, develop reporting systems, evaluate performance, and analyze data to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. As such, the CEFO must possess a deep understanding of finance and accounting, as well as excellent communication and decision-making skills.
