Clickwrap Agreement

Clickwrap Agreement

A Clickwrap Agreement is an agreement between two parties that is completed electronically. This type of agreement is also known as a web-wrap, click-through, or browse-wrap agreement. The terms “clickwrap” and “browsewrap” are often used interchangeably.

A Clickwrap Agreement is typically used when software is being licensed or when terms and conditions are being agreed to. The user must agree to the terms of the contract before they can complete the transaction. This agreement can be in the form of a popup window or a checkbox that must be checked before the user can proceed.

The main advantage of using a Clickwrap Agreement is that it helps to ensure that the user has read and understood the terms of the contract. It also makes it easier to enforce the terms of the contract if there is ever a dispute.
