Cloud Computing Definition

Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services—including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence—over the Internet (“the cloud”) to offer faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale.

A key characteristic of cloud computing is that it relies on sharing computer resources rather than having local servers or personal devices to handle applications. This means that organizations can use technology that someone else has already created and maintain instead of building everything from scratch.
