Confidential Information

There are many different types of confidential information, but broadly speaking, it is any information that is not publicly known and which could be used to give someone an unfair advantage. This could include things like customer lists, marketing plans, unpatented inventions and so on. When two businesses enter into a contract, they will often agree to keep certain information secret as part of the agreement. This is usually done by including a confidentiality clause or clauses in the contract.
