Contract Amendment Vs Addendum

A contract amendment and an addendum are two different ways of modifying an existing contract. Contract amendments are written agreements that modify the terms or conditions of a contract while preserving all existing provisions in the original agreement. An addendum, on the other hand, is an additional document to the original contract that adds new information without changing the terms of the original agreement. Both documents must be executed and signed by both parties for it to be binding. When making changes to a contractual agreement, it’s important to consider the distinction between a contract amendment and an addendum – as each serves a different purpose.
