Contract Violation

Contract Violation Definition

When one party to a contract fails to live up to their obligations under the agreement, this is considered a contract violation. The non-breaching party may suffer damages as a result of the breach, and may be able to take legal action against the breaching party to recover those damages. In some cases, a contract violation may also give rise to criminal charges.
