Convention Definition
A convention is a set of agreed, stipulated, or generally accepted standards, norms, social conventions, or guidelines that dictate the way a particular thing should be done. When something is considered ‘conventional,’ it means that it is usual and standard. Conventions can be found in all areas of life, from the way we dress and behave in different social situations to the format of business letters and reports.
