Customer Lead Time

Customer Lead Time

Customer Lead Time is the amount of time that it takes for a business to move from initial contact with a customer to when the customer receives the product or service they ordered. It includes all steps in between such as order processing, manufacturing, delivery and installation. A business can measure its lead time by tracking various performance metrics such as average order cycle time and total wait time. A shorter lead time allows a business to respond more quickly to customer orders and improve the overall customer experience. By actively monitoring and managing their customer lead times, businesses can ensure that their products and services are delivered to customers on time — keeping them satisfied and coming back for more!
