Ddp Definition
‘Ddp Definition’
In business, DDP is an acronym for “Delivery Duty Paid”. It is a term used to describe a delivery Incoterms® rule. Under thisrule, the seller is responsible for arranging and paying for the carriage of the goods to the named destination, as well as paying any customs duties and other taxes due on importation of the goods at the destination. The buyer does not have to pay for these costs.
The DDP term can be used for any mode of transport, including multimodal transport where two or more modes are used. For example, DDP could include delivering goods by road from the seller’s factory to the port where they are loaded onto a ship for export.
