A De-Spac Transaction, or De-SPAC, is a unique type of financial transaction used when companies want to go public without doing an Initial Public Offering (IPO). In this situation, existing shareholders sell their stake in the company to a publicly traded SPAC – Special Purpose Acquisition Company. The company then takes on the public SPAC’s stock exchange listing, making the shares available for purchase by the public. This process allows companies to go public quickly and without the expense and complexity of an IPO.
