Drill Down Definition

A drill down is an investigation of an issue in more detail. A drill down can be done by looking at data in more detail, or by talking to someone in more detail about an issue.

When you do a drill down, you are trying to get a better understanding of something. For example, if you are looking at data, you might drill down by looking at different time periods, or by looking at different groups of people. If you are talking to someone about an issue, you might drill down by asking more questions, or by asking for examples.

Drilling down is a way of getting more information about something so that you can understand it better. It is a way of investigating an issue in more depth.
