Failure To Perform Contract

Failure To Perform Contract

When one party to a contract fails to perform their obligations under the agreement, it is considered a breach of contract. This can happen when one party doesn’t complete their work, doesn’t deliver what was promised, or doesn’t meet the standards laid out in the agreement. Depending on the severity of the breach, it can have different consequences. For example, if someone hired to do a job doesn’t show up, that might be considered a minor breach that can be remedied by hiring someone else to do the job. However, if someone was hired to paint a house and they only painted half of it before stopping, that would be considered a material breach that would entitle the homeowner to nullify the contract and hire someone else to finish the job.
