Gap Score Definition
The Gap Score is a metric used to measure the difference between two groups on a scale of 0-100. The score is calculated by subtracting the average score of the lower group from the average score of the higher group. The resulting number is then divided by the total number of points possible and multiplied by 100 to get the Gap Score percentage.
For example, if Group A has an average score of 80 and Group B has an average score of 60, the Gap Score would be 20 (80-60). If there are a total of 100 points possible, the Gap Score would be 20%.
