Greenwash Definition

Greenwashing is the act of making an organization or product seem more environmentally friendly than it really is. For example, a company might claim to be ‘carbon neutral’ when its carbon emissions are actually much higher than average. Greenwashing can be used to make people feel good about supporting a company or buying a product, even though it’s not necessarily good for the environment.
