Integrated Logistics

Integrated Logistics Definition

Integrated logistics is the coordination and management of the entire supply chain from raw materials to finished products. It includes the coordination of all activities involved in procuring, manufacturing, warehousing, and transporting goods. The ultimate goal of integrated logistics is to provide the customer with the right product, at the right time, and at the right place.

The concept of integrated logistics was first introduced by Dr. Karl Albrecht in his book Logistics: The Strategic Issues, published in 1982. Since then, it has become an important part of supply chain management. Many companies have implemented integrated logistics solutions to improve their efficiency and competitiveness.
