Invitation To Tender

Invitation To Tender

An Invitation to Tender (ITT) is a document issued by a company in order to solicit bids from potential suppliers for a product or service. The ITT usually contains information about the company’s requirements, as well as the evaluation criteria that will be used to assess the bids.

The Invitation To Tender process is an important part of procurement, and can be used in both private and public sector organizations. In some cases, the ITT may be issued through a tender portal, such as the eTendering portal operated by the UK government.

Bidders who are interested in responding to an ITT must ensure that they submit a complete and compliant bid that meets all of the requirements set out in the ITT documents. The evaluation process can be competitive, and only the bids that score highest against the evaluation criteria will be shortlisted for further consideration.
