Just In Case Supply Chain

Just In Case Supply Chain Definition

A supply chain is a network of facilities and distribution options that performs the functions of procurement of materials, transformation of these materials into intermediate and finished products, and the distribution of these finished products to customers. A just in case supply chain is one in which inventory is maintained at each stage in order to be able to meet customer demand even if there are disruptions upstream or downstream in the supply chain. This type of supply chain is generally more expensive to operate than a just in time supply chain, but it can provide a higher level of customer service.
