Life Cycle Phases Of A Project

oboloo’s Glossary

The Life Cycle of a Project is a process that can be broken down into five distinct phases: inception, planning, execution, delivery, and closure. In the Inception phase, the project’s objectives, goals and scope are identified and defined. The Planning phase involves organizing resources and setting expectations. During the Execution phase, activities related to the project are carried out. Delivery follows when tasks have been completed and the client has accepted the deliverables. The Closure phase is when lessons learned are documented and users formally receive ownership of the product. By understanding the Life Cycle of a Project, project managers can ensure the successful completion of their projects.
