Severability

A severability clause, also known as a “savings clause” or “severability of provisions”, is a clause in a contract or statute that states that if any part of the agreement is found to be illegal or unenforceable, the remainder of the agreement will remain in effect. The purpose of such a clause is to prevent the entire agreement from being voided if one part is found to be invalid.
