Silo Mentality

oboloo’s Glossary

Silo Mentality: This term is used to describe a mindset in which individual teams or departments within an organization view themselves as separate entities, leading to a reluctance for collaboration and communication. Silo mentality can hamper the growth of a business, preventing ideas from flowing freely as employees become fixated on competition rather than collaboration. To create an environment where knowledge sharing and cooperation are valued, it is important to combat any silo mentalities that may exist and foster an open dialogue amongst all stakeholders.
