Sole Source 

A sole source is a product or service that is only available from one supplier. This can be because the supplier has a patent on the product or because they are the only company that produces it. Procurement rules allow for sole sourcing in some circumstances, such as when there is only one supplier who can provide the product or service, when the product is vital to national security, or when using another supplier would cause undue delay.
