Speculator Definition
A speculator is an individual who trades in assets, securities, or commodities with the intention of making a profit from short-term price movements. Speculators typically buy assets when they believe prices will rise in the future and sell them when they believe prices will fall.
While speculating can be a risky proposition, it can also be a lucrative one. Many speculators make a living by buying and selling assets on a regular basis. Some even become extremely wealthy by correctly predicting major market movements.
