‘Procurement rests’ refers to the period of time during which a procurement process is paused. This can happen for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to: changes in the scope of work, updates to the request for proposal (RFP), or delays in the approval process. During a procurement rest, all activities related to the procurement process must cease. This includes communicating with potential vendors, reviewing proposals, and making any decisions related to the procurement.
