Supply Chain Model

A supply chain model is a central system of interconnected and interdependent processes that monitor the movement of materials and products from raw material suppliers to end customers. It is designed to ensure timely, cost-efficient delivery of goods and services in an effort to maximize customer satisfaction. Supply Chain models include identifying potential points of failure, developing strategies to reduce risk, forecasting demand, and optimizing the use of resources. The objective is to develop an efficient and effective system which fosters collaboration between suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders in order to facilitate maximum customer value at minimum cost.
