Supply Chain Operations Definition
The term “supply chain operations” refers to all of the activities and processes that are necessary to plan, source, make, deliver, and return products and services. This includes everything from raw materials procurement and production planning to finished goods distribution and customer service. An effective supply chain operation must be able to manage all of these activities in a coordinated manner in order to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and profitability.
