Three Way Logistics

Three Way Logistics Definition

In business, logistics can be defined as the process of managing the transportation and storage of goods. Three way logistics is a type of logistics that involves the coordination of three different parties: the manufacturer, the retailer, and the customer.

In a three way logistics system, the manufacturer is responsible for producing the goods, the retailer is responsible for storing and shipping the goods, and the customer is responsible for receiving the goods. This type of system is often used in situations where there is a large volume of goods to be shipped, or when time is of the essence (such as with perishable items).

A three way logistics system can be beneficial for all parties involved. The manufacturer can focus on production without having to worry about shipping, the retailer can save on warehousing costs by using the manufacturer’s facilities, and the customer can receive their goods faster. However, this type of system can also be complex and difficult to manage.
