Time Bucket Definition

A time bucket is a unit of time in which you can complete a task or series of tasks. The size of a time bucket can vary depending on the activity, but is typically between 5 and 30 minutes.

When you have a task that needs to be completed, but don’t have a specific time frame in which to do it, you can place it in a time bucket. This allows you to schedule your day in a more flexible way, and prevents you from getting bogged down by one task that may take longer than expected.

Time buckets can also be helpful when you need to break up a larger task into smaller, more manageable pieces. For example, if you have an hour-long project to work on, you could place it in four 15-minute time buckets throughout the day. This would allow you to work on the project for shorter periods of time and prevent you from feeling overwhelmed.
