Training Definition
Training is a process of acquiring specific skills to perform a particular job or activity. It can be provided formally, through institutions such as schools or universities, or informally, through on-the-job training.
There are many different types of training programs available, but most can be generally categorized into three main types: academic, vocational, and on-the-job. Academic training is typically provided by educational institutions and is designed to teach theoretical knowledge and concepts. Vocational training is focused on developing the practical skills required for a specific trade or occupation. On-the-job training takes place in the workplace and provides employees with the opportunity to learn new skills while performing their regular job duties.
The aims of training vary depending on the type of job or activity being learned. In general, however, the goal of any training program is to help individuals acquire the knowledge and skills they need to perform their jobs effectively and safely.
