Upper Specification Limit Definition
An upper specification limit (USL) is a value that should not be exceeded by the quality characteristic of a product or process. It is set by the producer and/or customer to ensure that the product or process meets their quality requirements. The USL is used as a basis for setting acceptance criteria and for monitoring and controlling the quality of a product or process.
