User-Based Approach Definition

In user-based approach, also called user-centered design, the focus is on designing a system that is usable and useful for the end user. The user’s needs and wants are the primary concern throughout the design process. This approach has its roots in human factors and ergonomics, disciplines that study how people interact with systems and how to optimize that interaction. User-based approach is sometimes also referred to as usability engineering.
