Vendor

A vendor is a person or company that sells goods or services. A vendor may also be known as a supplier, merchant, or trader. Vendors typically offer their wares through a storefront, whether that’s an actual physical location or an online store.

When you buy something from a vendor, you are engaging in a transaction. This is a formal agreement between two parties in which one party agrees to exchange goods or services for something of value from the other party. The value can be money, but it doesn’t have to be. It could also be trade goods or services, or even something like a promise to do something in the future.

There are many different types of vendors, and they can be found in nearly every industry. Some common examples include food vendors, retail vendors, wholesale vendors, and service providers.
