Wet Signature

A wet signature is a physical, handwritten signature that is placed on a document. Wet signatures are often used to signify agreement or approval on legal documents, such as contracts.

While electronic signatures are becoming more prevalent, there are still many instances where a wet signature is required. For example, some lenders may require a wet signature on mortgage documents. Or, if you’re buying a house, the contract may need to be signed with a wet signature in order for the sale to be valid.

Wet signatures can also be used for non-legal purposes, such as signing a birthday card or gift tag. Whatever the purpose, a wet signature adds a personal touch that an electronic signature cannot replicate.
