Tender Evaluation Panel

A tender evaluation panel is a group of experts who are responsible for assessing tenders (bids) from potential suppliers and selecting the most suitable one. The panel usually consists of representatives from the organization that is procuring the goods or services, as well as experts in the relevant field.

The evaluation panel will score each tender according to a set of criteria, which may include price, quality, technical specifications, and experience. The tenders with the highest scores will be shortlisted for further consideration.

Once the evaluation panel has selected a shortlist of tenders, they will invite the suppliers to participate in a formal presentation or interview. This give-and-take session provides an opportunity for the panel to ask questions and get clarification on any points that were not clear in the initial submission.

After taking all factors into consideration, the evaluation panel will make a recommendation to the organization’s management team on which supplier to award the contract to.
