Project Management Core Competencies refer to the essential skills and abilities required to successfully manage and complete a project. They are derived from the roles, responsibilities and activities required for successful project delivery. The Project Management Institute (PMI) has identified nine project management core competencies that it considers to be essential for successful project delivery.
