Supplier Change Management Definition
Supplier change management is the process of assessing, approving, and monitoring changes to supplier contracts. The goal of supplier change management is to protect the organization’s interests by ensuring that changes to supplier contracts do not adversely impact the organization.
Supplier change management begins with the identification of a need for a change to a supplier contract. Once a need for a change is identified, the relevant stakeholders must be consulted and approval must be obtained from the organization’s decision-makers. Once approval is obtained, the supplier contract can be updated and the changes can be implemented. Finally, the organization must monitor the changes to ensure that they are having the desired effect and that there are no negative impacts on the organization.
