DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)

Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) is a business term used in international trade contracts, which requires the seller to deliver goods to the buyer, and pay all costs including import customs clearance and applicable taxes. The seller is also responsible for any damage to or losses of the goods incurred during transit. DDP contracts provide a greater degree of control than similar terms such as Free on Board (FOB), as the seller assumes all risks associated with the transport of goods until delivery is made. It should be noted that DDP does not necessarily include installation and setup, unless stated explicitly in the contract.
