George Yip’s Globalisation Framework Definition

George Yip’s globalisation framework is a model that attempts to explain how multinational corporations (MNCs) go about the process of globalising their operations. The framework has four main stages:

1. Domestic Orientation: This is where the MNC focuses on its home market and has limited international involvement.

2. International Orientation: This is where the MNC becomes more involved in foreign markets and begins to develop a more global perspective.

3. Multinational Orientation: This is where the MNC starts to operate in multiple countries and regions simultaneously and starts to think of itself as a truly global organisation.

4. Global Integration: This is where the MNC reaches a point where it is able to integrate its operations across the globe and operates as one cohesive unit.
