A Hold Harmless Agreement Clause, also known as an Indemnification Clause, is a provision that is written into contracts which provides protection for one or both of the parties involved. It essentially protects one party from any future liability or responsibility that may result from their actions. In essence, it states that should any harm come to either party due to the other’s negligence, the responsible party will not be held liable in any way. This clause is important because it ensures that all parties are aware of their respective risks, and can make informed decisions with those risks in mind.
