Static Conditions Definition

Static conditions are those in which the system is at rest or in uniform motion. In a closed system, static conditions occur when the system is in equilibrium, meaning that the net force and torque on the system are zero. If the system is open, then static conditions occur when the flow of energy into and out of the system is balanced.
