For most mid-sized companies, the best supplier onboarding software is one that sends each new supplier a standard set of requests (documents, insurance, questionnaires), lets them upload everything through a portal, and tracks expiry dates after approval. oboloo does that with its Supplier Plus plan, at $28 per user a month billed annually, on top of a free-forever plan. For a team of three, that is $84 a month. If you onboard a large supplier base and need bank, tax and identity checks built in, Graphite Connect is designed for that. Market Dojo and Precoro sit in the middle, at roughly $1,000 a month.
Full disclosure: oboloo is our product. We checked every price below on the vendor's own site on 15 October 2026, and we have said where another tool is the better fit.

Whatever you choose, check it covers these five things:
oboloo is free-forever procurement software for SMEs and charities. Its supplier onboarding lets you apply a predefined onboarding package to a new or existing supplier, so every supplier is asked the same things. Suppliers upload documents and complete questionnaires through a guided portal with no account required. You see progress in real time, review and approve each submission, and every action is logged. After approval, oboloo tracks document expiry dates and chases suppliers automatically. Onboarding sits next to supplier compliance, contracts and sourcing, so the supplier record is complete from day one. Onboarding, document requests and compliance tracking come with Supplier Plus, at $28 per user a month billed annually, with a 14-day free trial. The free-forever plan covers supplier records for unlimited suppliers, plus contracts, sourcing and savings.
Where it fits less well: if you need built-in bank account validation or tax ID checks, look at Graphite Connect.
Market Dojo's supplier onboarding product starts at £833.33 a month billed annually, which includes 500 suppliers and unlimited internal users. Each extra 500 suppliers costs £1,500 a year. It makes most sense if you already use Market Dojo for eSourcing.
Precoro is a purchasing platform. Supplier onboarding and the supplier portal come with its Automation plan at $999 a month billed annually; the $499 Core plan does not list them. A good fit if onboarding is one step in a purchasing process you want to run in the same tool.
Gatekeeper combines a contract and vendor repository with a vendor portal for onboarding and self-service updates. It does not publish prices; the Pro plan covers up to 250 third parties and you get a quote through a demo. Nonprofit discounts are available.
Kodiak Hub offers supplier onboarding as part of a wider supplier assessment and performance platform. Prices are not published, and you book a demo.
Graphite Connect focuses on fast onboarding for larger supplier bases, with bank and tax validation and identity verification built in. It connects to ERPs including NetSuite, Oracle, SAP S/4HANA and Workday. Prices are not published, and its site mentions no free plan or trial.
Moxo is a portal and workflow platform that companies use for vendor onboarding, among other things. Pricing is not published on its pricing page, and a free trial is available on request.
Yes. You do not need an ERP to run a proper onboarding process. A standalone tool with a supplier portal handles the requests, documents and approvals, and you can pass the approved supplier details to your finance system afterwards (oboloo connects to thousands of apps through Zapier). Many mid-sized companies onboard suppliers this way and keep their ERP for finance only.
A typical onboarding pack for a mid-sized company covers:
Our step-by-step guide to the supplier onboarding process goes through each one.
It is software that collects everything you need from a new supplier (documents, insurance, questionnaires), routes it for approval and keeps a record. Good tools also track expiry dates and chase suppliers for renewals.
It ranges from $28 per user a month (oboloo) to around £833 or $999 a month for dedicated onboarding products, and more for enterprise tools that quote on request.
Not really. None of the dedicated onboarding tools we looked at has a free plan. oboloo's free-forever plan covers supplier records with unlimited suppliers and users, and its onboarding features come with Supplier Plus at $28 per user a month, billed annually, with a 14-day free trial.
None in practice. "Supplier onboarding" is more common in the UK and "vendor onboarding" in the US. Both mean getting a new supplier set up, checked and approved.
With a standard pack and a portal, most of the time is the supplier gathering their documents. Without a tool, chasing by email usually takes far longer than the checks themselves.
