If you want supplier management tools without buying a procure-to-pay (P2P) system, pick a tool built around supplier records, documents and contracts rather than purchase orders and invoices. oboloo is free forever with unlimited users and unlimited suppliers, and puts suppliers, contracts, sourcing and savings in one place. Market Dojo has a free Supplier Management tier for up to 3 users, and paid sourcing and onboarding plans. Vendorful, Gatekeeper and Venminder focus on supplier data, contracts and third-party risk, and all price on request. Precoro and Procurify do include supplier records, but they are P2P tools first: you buy the purchasing system to get them.
Full disclosure: oboloo is our product. We checked every competitor fact below on the vendor's own site on 21 October 2026.
Most small businesses do not. Supplier management (also called vendor management) answers "who do we buy from, what did we agree, and is their paperwork in date?" P2P answers "who approved this spend, and does the invoice match the order?"
A quick test:
The two can run side by side. Many small teams keep purchasing in their accounting software and add a separate supplier tool. For the wider picture, start with our guide to supplier management software.

oboloo is supplier management, contract management, sourcing (RFx) and savings tracking in one cloud platform. It does not do purchase orders or invoices, by design.
oboloo has more than 2,000 users. Registered charities get 50% off paid plans.
Where it fits less well: no purchase requests, POs, invoices or budgets. If you need those, pair oboloo with your accounting system or use a P2P tool. Onboarding and compliance tracking are paid features, not free ones.
Market Dojo describes itself as "On-Demand Agentic Sourcing", built for mid-market and enterprise teams. Its pricing page lists free tiers, including Supplier Management at £0 for up to 3 users with 10 activities a week. Paid Supplier Management starts at £250 a month for up to 5 users, and Supplier Onboarding at £833.33 a month including 500 suppliers, both billed annually. Purchasing and invoices come through a partner (Esker), not Market Dojo itself.
Vendorful calls itself "Smarter strategic sourcing and supplier management" and says it serves the needs of large organisations. It covers onboarding, compliance, a self-service supplier portal, scorecards and a contract store with renewal reminders, and can act as a vendor master. It integrates with P2P and ERP systems rather than replacing them. No prices or free plan are published.
Gatekeeper's line is "Vendors. Contracts. Unified." It combines vendor risk and compliance, full contract lifecycle management (templates, redlining, e-sign) and vendor performance. Pricing is by quote, with plans sized by number of third parties: Pro covers up to 250. All plans include unlimited users. Scorecards are not in Pro. It is a strong fit if contract drafting and risk screening matter more than price.
Venminder, part of Ncontracts, is a third-party risk management platform. It covers vendor onboarding, risk assessments, document collection and contract storage, and lists implementation at 30 to 90 days. Its customer logos are mainly banks and credit unions, and much of its product is about meeting regulators' expectations. Pricing is by quote. For a small business without a regulator to answer to, it is likely more than you need.
Both are P2P tools, so we list them for comparison. Precoro Core starts at $499 a month, billed annually, and includes a supplier database with unlimited records alongside purchase requests, POs and invoices; vendor onboarding and the supplier portal are on its Automation plan and above. Procurify is quote only, starts every customer on Purchasing, and stores vendor documents and approvals. If you need purchase orders and invoice approval, these are built for that; oboloo is not. Our oboloo vs Precoro page goes through the split in detail.
If you do not need purchase orders, oboloo is free forever with unlimited users and suppliers and covers contracts and sourcing too. Market Dojo has a free tier for up to 3 users. If you need POs and invoices as well, look at a P2P tool such as Precoro or Procurify.
No. Supplier management keeps supplier records, documents, contracts and performance. Procure-to-pay covers requests, purchase orders, receiving and invoices. Some P2P tools include basic supplier records.
Yes. Many small businesses raise orders in their accounting system or by email and use a separate tool for supplier records, contracts and renewals.
Yes. oboloo is free forever with unlimited users and suppliers. Market Dojo's free Supplier Management tier covers up to 3 users and 10 activities a week.
One record per supplier, contacts, documents with expiry dates, linked contracts with renewal alerts, and a way to score performance. Onboarding and compliance checks matter once you add new suppliers often.
