The cheapest alternative to Coupa or SAP Ariba depends on which half of the suite you actually use. If you mainly need purchase requests, purchase orders and invoice approval, look at purchasing (procure-to-pay) tools such as Precoro, Procurify, Ramp or Zip. If you mainly need sourcing events, supplier management, contracts and savings, look at source-to-contract tools: oboloo has a free-forever plan for all four, and Market Dojo and Prokuria are paid options. oboloo does not do purchase orders, invoices or payments. Many mid-sized companies get the best value by pairing a light purchasing tool, or their accounting system, with a separate sourcing and contracts tool.
Full disclosure: oboloo is our product. We checked every competitor fact below on the vendor's own site on 20 October 2026.
SAP's own spend management page, which covers Ariba, says the range spans sourcing, contracts, supplier management, buying and invoicing. It publishes no prices and asks you to request a demo.
A full suite covers two different jobs:
Most cheaper tools do one half well. Pick the half that hurts most first.

If your main pain is maverick spend, PO approvals and invoice matching, these tools are built for that. oboloo is not.
Precoro calls itself an "Agentic Procurement & AP Centralization Platform", aimed at mid-sized companies with distributed operations. Core starts at $499 a month and Automation at $999 a month, both billed annually; Enterprise is custom. The pricing page lists no free plan or trial. For a closer look, see our oboloo vs Precoro comparison.
Procurify sells itself on control "without the enterprise price tag" and is built for finance and operations teams. Every customer starts with Purchasing (order requests, purchase orders, catalogs, vendors), and AP and Expense & Card are priced as add-ons. Prices are not published. It includes unlimited Basic users and prices on Pro users.
Ramp has a free plan, but procurement is an add-on to Ramp Plus or Enterprise. Plus is $15 per user a month plus a platform fee based on team size, with 20% off for annual billing. The procurement add-on covers intake and approval workflows, purchase orders and three-way matching. Its price is not published.
Zip describes itself as an AI procurement platform covering every request "from intake to pay", for companies from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises. Prices are not published; you book a demo.
If you already handle POs in your accounting system and what you need is better sourcing, supplier records and contract control, look here.
oboloo is free-forever procurement software for SMEs and charities. The free plan includes sourcing (RFQs, RFPs and RFIs), supplier management, contract management and savings tracking, with unlimited users, no card and no expiry. Suppliers answer your events through a portal link without creating an account, and you compare responses side by side. Contracts are unlimited, with alerts before renewals, expiries or notice windows close. Savings cover cost avoidance, hard and process savings, and only validated savings reach reports.
Optional Plus plans are per user a month, billed annually, each with a 14-day free trial: Contract Plus $10 (approvals, and storing contract documents), Savings Plus $20, Sourcing Plus $25 (weighted scoring, reusable RFX templates) and Supplier Plus $28 (scorecards, onboarding, compliance). Registered charities get 50% off paid plans, forever. More than 2,000 users use oboloo.
Where it fits less well: oboloo does not do purchase requests, purchase orders, invoices or payments. If you are replacing the buying half of Coupa or Ariba, you still need a P2P tool or your accounting system for that.
Market Dojo is a paid eSourcing tool with eAuctions. Simple Sourcing costs £500 a month billed annually, or £1,000 per event. Weighted events are on Pro Sourcing at £583 a month, billed annually. Its contract management has a free tier for up to 10 contracts, and supplier relationship management is free for up to 3 users. See our Market Dojo vs oboloo page.
Prokuria describes itself as "One no-code platform for sourcing, suppliers, and purchasing". Modules cover RFx and auctions, supplier onboarding and scorecards, a contracts repository, spend analysis and purchase orders. Prices are not published: the estimator shows a monthly starting price, billed annually, after you enter a work email.
We also compare oboloo with other enterprise suites, such as Ivalua and Zycus. For more sourcing tools, see the best free sourcing software, and for contracts, the free contract management software roundup.
It depends on what you use Coupa for. For purchasing and invoices, Precoro publishes prices from $499 a month, billed annually. For sourcing, suppliers and contracts, oboloo has a free-forever plan.
For sourcing and contracts, oboloo (free forever) or Market Dojo (from £500 a month, billed annually). For purchase orders and invoices, P2P tools such as Precoro, Procurify, Ramp or Zip.
For the source-to-contract half, yes: oboloo is free forever with unlimited users. Ramp has a free plan, but its procurement features are a paid add-on.
No. oboloo replaces the sourcing, supplier, contract and savings parts. It does not do purchase orders, invoices or payments, so pair it with a P2P tool or your accounting system.
Plan for at least one renewal cycle running both side by side, so no contract date is missed.
