Yes, there is free contract management software for supplier contracts, but only a few tools have a genuine free plan rather than a trial. oboloo is free forever with unlimited users, and its free plan includes unlimited contracts plus alerts before renewals, expiries and notice windows close. Storing the contract documents themselves needs its paid Contract Plus plan. Renewly has a free plan for 5 contracts and 3 seats, and Zoho Contracts has a free plan for 3 users and 10 contracts. Contractbook, Contracko and ContractSafe offer free trials, not free plans. For a handful of contracts, a free contract repository spreadsheet also works, as long as someone checks it.
Full disclosure: oboloo is our product. We checked every plan and price below on the vendor's own site on 16 October 2026. This page covers free contract management software only. For paid tools, see the best supplier contract management software for small business. For alerts in depth, see contract renewal tracking software.

A free plan keeps working with no end date, within set limits. Check the limits that matter: number of contracts, number of users, renewal reminders, and if you can upload existing signed contracts.
A free trial gives you the full product for a set time, such as 14 days. Your contract dates need to live somewhere for years, so a trial does not solve the problem.
A free template is a spreadsheet. It holds the data, but it never reminds anyone of anything.
oboloo is free-forever procurement software for SMEs and charities. Its contract module gives you one register for every supplier contract, with unlimited contracts on the free plan. Key dates and notice periods are tracked, and you get alerted before renewals, expiries or notice windows close. These alerts are on the free plan, with unlimited users, no card and no expiry (see automated contract notifications). Each contract links to its supplier, sourcing activity and savings. Where it fits less well for free: the free plan holds the contract record and dates, not the files, so signed copies and amendments need Contract Plus.
Contract Plus, at $10 per user a month billed annually, adds contract documents, contract approvals, custom notifications, document requests to suppliers and custom fields. It has a 14-day free trial. Registered charities and non-profits get 50% off paid plans, forever.
Where it fits less well: oboloo does not draft or redline contracts, and it does not use AI to read dates from a PDF. You enter the key dates when you add the contract.
Renewly's free plan is $0 "for as long as you like", with 5 contracts, 3 seats, renewal alerts at 90, 60, 30 and 7 days, and a basic portfolio view. CSV export, calendar sync and an audit log start on the Starter plan ($149 a month or $1,490 a year, 100 contracts). Paid plans have a 30-day money-back guarantee. The 5-contract limit suits a very small portfolio or a test run.
Zoho Contracts' free plan is free for 3 users and includes 10 contracts, 5 counterparties, 1 approval workflow and 2 built-in templates. Renewal alerts and eSignature (5 documents a month, sent by 1 user) are included. But its plan comparison page marks importing contracts and attaching files to contract records as not included on the free plan, which matters if you want to load existing signed supplier contracts. A 15-day trial with no card drops back to the free plan.
Contractbook offers a 14-day trial with access to all features and no card. After that you move to "a limited Free plan", with limits set when the trial ends; the page does not publish them. Paid plans start with Essential at $399 a month, billed annually, for 1 user and 50 contract uploads.
Neither has a free plan. Contracko offers a free trial with no card, then Small Business at €750 billed annually for 100 active contracts and 5 users, with unlimited reminders. ContractSafe has a free trial, then starts at $450 a month, prepaid annually, with unlimited users.
HubSpot turns accepted sales quotes into contract records, but that sits in the Professional and Enterprise editions of its Revenue Hub and is built for customer contracts, not supplier ones.
Open-source options are thin. ContractManager is free under the GPL 3.0 licence and reminds you of cancellation deadlines. But it is a personal finance and contract tool, still in beta, with its last release (0.5.5) in June 2019. It is not built for a team managing supplier contracts.
A spreadsheet is fine when you have a small number of contracts, one person owns them all, and that person opens the file every week. Our contract repository spreadsheet and contract tracking spreadsheet are free Excel downloads, no email needed.
Free software wins once any of these is true:
If you are weighing up the switch, read when to move supplier contracts out of Excel.
Yes. oboloo is free forever for supplier contracts, with unlimited contracts and users; storing the documents needs Contract Plus. Renewly's free plan covers 5 contracts and Zoho Contracts' free plan covers 3 users and 10 contracts. Most other tools offer a free trial only.
For a free register of supplier contracts with renewal alerts and unlimited users, oboloo (storing the signed documents needs Contract Plus). For fewer than 5 contracts, Renewly's free plan also works. For contracts you draft and sign from a template, Zoho Contracts.
Some can. oboloo, Renewly and Zoho Contracts include renewal alerts on their free plans. A spreadsheet cannot, unless you add calendar entries yourself.
No. A trial ends after a set period, and then you pay or lose features. A free plan keeps working within its limits.
For a few contracts and one owner, yes. Once contracts have different owners or nobody checks the file each week, free software with alerts is safer.
